-Astrophysicists found indications of a dust cloud surrounding a relatively young star.

-The star is 10 to 16 million years old, and analysis of the dust cloud suggests that it may coalesce and become a rocky planet like earth.

Dozens of pilot whales beached near the storm-lashed tip of South Africa, prompting a massive rescue operation.

Rescuers were using six bulldozers to push the 55 whales back into the water, but "as soon as we put them back into the sea, they swim back to the beach again," said National Sea Rescue Institute spokesman Craig Lambinon.

One whale has died, and high winds and rough seas were frustrating the rescue attempts.

"It's not a very easy situation," Lambinon said.

Pilot whales, about 3 meters (10 feet) long, are fairly common around South Africa. There was no immediate explanation as to why they were beaching.

During the olympics camp... Diyanah was pulling out grasses in the school field.. I tink Michelle, Jaz, Ling Xin & Lay Ting were doing the same. They even added tat tatz wad happen when pple gets bored. Poor grass...

I gort tis frightenin news bout e doomsday in 2012 frm Yijun yesterday. Was like omg...... the end of the world?

IT IS midnight on 22 September 2012 and the skies above Manhattan are filled with a flickering curtain of colourful light. The rest of the globe is celebrating Earth Hour, which takes place at 8.30pm in Singapore. It is the 2nd tym Earth Hour is being observed here, buisnesses & organisation are taking a creative approach to get the public abuzz about saving energy.

-70 percent of polar bears do not live to their third birthday.

-Sometimes seals are hard to find, especially in the summer when the ice has melted.

-All across the Arctic, man is moving in to mine oil and coal and there is less space for the polar bear to live.

-Reduction in sea-ice cover also forces bears to swim longer distances, which further depletes their energy stores and occasionally leads to drowning.

-Thinner sea ice tends to deform more easily, which appears to make it more difficult for polar bears to access seals.

My chinese cher printed 40 papers(perhaps more than 40), juz for tis "jian bao"wich oni occupy bout 1/3 of the paper.
My chin cher(yes agn)told us to flip our "zhou ji"to a new pg. Cuz she wan our "jian bao"and reflection to be facin each other 4 convenience. T~T Dis pg is wasted sia. Anw finally gort an "A" for my zhou ji.. FINALLY... usually get B+ de. -.-

Firstly, i recently read on the newspaper article sayin tat in India.. Those hu are caught carrin a plastic bag in public will be fined. They said the reason being is tat almost thousands of plastic bags are used evryday and they wan 2 reduce the numb. Oni biodegradable bags such as paper or cotton can be used. O.o Shd tis method be applied 2 singapore as well?
