TOO LATE TO STOP GLOBAL WARMING
Sunday, February 1, 2009

Many damaging effects of climate change are alrdy irreversible, researchers declared on Monday, warning tat even if carbon emissions can somehow be halted, temperature around the globe will remain high until at least the year 3000.

" Pple hav imagined tat if we stopped emitting carbon dioxide the climate wud go back 2 normal in 100 years, 200 years; tatz not true,"climate researcher Susan Solomon said.

Warmer climate is oso causin expansion of the ocean, and tatz expected to increase with the meltin of ice on Greenland and Antarctica, researchers said.

Global warming has been slowed by the ocean cuz water absorbs a lot of energy to warm up.

But tat good effect will not only wane over time, but the ocean will also keep the planet warmer by givin off its accumulated heat to the air.
